Infinite Recovery’s intensive outpatient program (IOP) in Austin is designed for individuals who would benefit from support and accountability to maintain their sobriety as they return to work, school, or family life after inpatient treatment at our Austin Rehab. We offer a full range of addiction treatment services in our outpatient rehab program, including psychiatric and medical services. Groups are co-ed and focus on skills building and relational support.
Our IOP program meets for three hours, three days a week. The morning group meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm. The evening group meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Our offerings include:
The opposite of addiction is connection. Our intensive outpatient treatment program provides the caring community, comprehensive services, and long-term support needed for you or your loved one to thrive in sobriety.
We know that substance abuse looks different for every person and can have any number of underlying causes. That is why we adapt our outpatient treatment plans to meet the specific needs of our individual clients. No matter where you are in your recovery journey or what your substance use history is, we have a program that will work for you.
Group therapy is the cornerstone of our intensive outpatient program. Our sessions consist of small, structured discussions led by masters-level clinicians that help clients process past experiences, work through emotions, and incorporate mindfulness techniques and healthy coping skills.
Some of the benefits of this therapeutic process may include:
Clients in our IOP program also work one-on-one with an individual therapist to address mental health issues and help resolve thought patterns and emotional triggers that may be contributing to addictive behavior. Our therapists have extensive experience in addiction recovery and use therapeutic approaches that include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed therapy and more.
For individuals who require a prescription to manage symptoms of a physical or mental illness, our medical and psychiatric staff can prescribe the appropriate medication. This allows clients to focus fully on rebuilding their lives after substance abuse, and can also aid relapse prevention. Medication management is an essential component of our intensive outpatient program.
Infinite Recovery offers family programming for the loved ones of clients in our intensive outpatient program. Family therapy is an invaluable tool that helps repair the damage caused by substance abuse and addiction. When a family system is healthy and able to communicate productively, it can support an individual’s addiction recovery journey.
Intensive outpatient treatment is often the next step for individuals who have completed inpatient detox or a residential treatment program. It offers accountability, support, resources and a sense of community for those who are newly sober—and also aids in relapse prevention.
Because substance use disorder is a chronic disease, a person is never fully “cured” from addiction. Sobriety is something they must work to maintain for the rest of their lives. One of the reasons for relapse following addiction treatment is a lack of consistency, support and resources. A relapse does not mean that treatment has failed, but it might mean that there is a need for different or additional mental health and addiction treatments to be incorporated. [2]
Clients in an intensive outpatient treatment program meet regularly with addiction specialists and mental health counselors, attend group meetings, and undergo drug and alcohol testing. This supports them in their transition back to daily life following detox or residential treatment, and allows them to learn and practice life skills in a safe environment.
In addition to our intensive outpatient program (IOP), Infinite Recovery offers a full continuum of care for those struggling with addiction in the Austin, TX area. We also offer detox, residential treatment (inpatient program), a partial hospitalization program, and sober living. All of our programs and services are holistic and trauma-informed, with a special emphasis on the spiritual development of our clients using the 12 Steps to Recovery.
